Have you always wanted to map your data on a USA Map, to see how they compare? Did you always want to compare California & Texas for their quality of living? Which state has higher crime rate – Florida or New York? Which state has better educational system – Pennsylvania or Illinois? Which state has better urban transport – Illinois or Ohio? Whatever be your data point, whichever states you want to compare, it is now super easy to map your data on a USA Map and share with your friends online, all for FREE. No need to buy any software…

How to use the above maps (Beginner):

  1. For each state, enter the parameter value under “edit values” column. Imagine you want to compare cost of living of each state, data can be found here. Enter the value for every state, one by one.
  2. If you want to show a label for each state, you can also enter a label against each state. This is optional.
  3. Do not forget to change the heading in “Editable Heading” to your liking.
  4. Now simply click on “Update Map” and lo behold, your data is mapped on the USA Map.
  5. You can download the map and share with your friends on Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp etc.,

How to use the above maps (Advanced):

  1. We presume you have the state level data in a CSV or an excel sheet. You can simply click on “Sample CSV”, it downloads a CSV with state names and default values.
  2. Enter/copy-paste all the values into the CSV for every state in one-go and save the file as a CSV only again.
  3. Now click on “Upload CSV” and choose the above saved CSV and click OK. The data in the above table on left will be refreshed to the data you just edited in the CSV.
  4. Define the extremes: If you have outliers and want to fix the values for extremes, you can enter the min and max values manually. This is optional. By default the map will take the minimum and maximum values of the data entered.
  5. Change the color: If you do not like the default blue color, you can change the color by clicking on the necessary color in “choose color of map”.
  6. Show that you have mapped it: You may enter your twitter handle in the space provided to tell the world that you built the map.
  7. You can download the map and share with your friends on Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp etc.,
