Real time Twitter trends help us find out what hot topics people are discussing on social media around the world at a given time.

According to the Twitter FAQ on trends, "This algorithm identifies topics that are popular now, rather than topics that have been popular for a while or on a daily basis, to help you discover the hottest emerging topics of discussion on Twitter." They are tailored based on the user's location.

We at Gramener, a Data Science company, leveraged the Twitter trends API through a Python script to get you all the Twitter trending hashtags in one place. The trends are pulled in real time (with an update interval of 20 minutes, to comply with the Twitter trends API limits.
